First Mosin-Nagant
Just picked this one up. 1943 Izhevsk 91/59, all matching numbers. The previous owner cleaned it up enough for shooting, but it's still got some cosmo and a bit of dirt that needs attending to. Clean...

LOL! Yeah, I have tons of other milsurps, but I just never got into the Russian guns for some reason. But I like this one. The ammo I ordered is 168 grain, lead core, brass case.

Oh you picked up the REALLY good stuff. The Russian 7n1 147gn light ball steel case is what I have been grooving on. Good choice! -Sefus

The most wild, muzzle flashing ammo I ever fired in my 91/59 or M44 was some Bulgarian machine gun ammo that was on the market about a million years ago. It had this giant bright yellow muzzle flash,...

Nice thing about the M91/59 is that while it began life as a standard M91/30,and incurred who knows how much wear&tear from 1943 onwards, once it was converted to "/59" and then stored, it is now...

S&B makes a very nice 180 grain load in reloadable cases and a good price. Hornady and Remington both make a very nice 180 grain RN bullet, and Sierra makes a pointy one, as do a few others I'm...

Yeah, I gotta get some of those. Are modern commercially made ones any good? I've heard some of them don't work as well as original surplus clips.

Nice Izhevsk M91/59. I'm curious if that is a Czech stock. Any cartouches? Have you checked the receiver tang date? Always cool when they are 110 year old antiques. Next time go Finn!

FJ,The 91-59 is a rare variant with much collectible value. I would stash that gun away and get a vg M44 for general use. Besides, another excuse to buy second Moisin-Nagant.St762
